The Women’s Club is in the process of Reorganizing.
Please visit us for updated information
Mission Statement: As women of God and the heart of our Parish family, we have many gifts to share. Our mission is to bring together women of all ages to foster fellowship, service and spiritual enrichment. New faces are greatly desired!! Just a little about what we do…
Altar Society: Two people each month prepare the altar for mass. It can be done any day, even on Saturday (as long as it’s done before the 4 pm mass).
Banner of Freedom: As a way of honoring our parish family members who are actively serving our country, the Banner of Freedom is displayed in the church throughout the year. Names of relatives of parish families who have been deployed are given to the parish office or directly to the chairperson. Photographs and information are displayed and updated as we receive them and removed when servicemen and women are decommissioned or return home. For information please contact Mary Guilhy.
Craft Fair: Each November the Fatima Women’s Club holds a craft fair in the parish hall. The proceeds from this fair enable us to contribute to our parish and our community. Helpers are always needed and usually have a lot of fun! For information or if you are interested in helping please contact Cheri Smeriglio at 203-265-5375.
Prayer Shawl Ministry: The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets on a regular basis to craft shawls which are blessed by the hands of the knitters and the prayers of our pastor. Shawls can be used for undergoing medical procedures, as a comfort after a loss or in times of stress, for prayer or meditation, during illnesses and recovery — there are endless possibilities. Shawls are also given to the families of servicemen and women. For information or to obtain a prayer shawl contact Alice Saier at 203-269-5763.
